One expedition. One big question.

How does culture shape identity, place, and belonging?

The Kumaoni Cultural Landscapes Expedition explores the relationship between people, place, memory, and identity in the Central Himalayas. Unlike Circuit 1 (Jaunsar-Bawar), which focuses on indigenous knowledge and community systems, this expedition investigates how landscapes shape culture and how culture, in turn, shapes landscapes.
